Nothing officially confirms that it’s making over-ear headphones, here’s when they’re coming
Nothing is working on a pair of over-ear headphones. The company has officially confirmed the move in the video you can see embedded below. This follows Nothing’s recent announcement about partnering up with KEF for future audio products, of which many will arrive as early as this year. So, we assume the headphones will too.
Nothing was first rumored to be developing its own pair of headphones back in February, when they were allegedly certified by SGS Fimko with the model number B170 and identified just as “wireless headphone”.
Nothing CEO Carl Pei shared a few fan concept images of possible Nothing headphones back in October of 2022, and since then it seems like the company has decided to pursue this venture.
Expect the Nothing headphones to have a very unique design “that says something about you” when you’re wearing them, as Nothing’s designers don’t like the look of any pair of headphones that’s currently on the market. Also, Nothing’s headphones will have very distinct buttons, so that you won’t have any issues identifying which is which while wearing the headphones.
Nothing promises that the headphones will be among the best-sounding on the market, especially for their price point. Additionally, if you go from a pair of AirPods Max to these, Nothing says you won’t be disappointed, despite the cheaper price.
The Nothing headphones are coming this summer, which is also when the flagship Nothing Phone (3) should be getting official, so it wouldn’t surprise us at all if they got unveiled at the same time.
